About Josef's Mum

'Josef's Mum' is a personal project - to say something, share my thoughts, which may or may not be of use to anyone at all... just me. 

But maybe it will be of use?  For someone - somewhere...Who knows?

Nobody tells you what this unimaginable nightmare is like, really there are not enough descriptive words for the depths of sorrow that a parent will feel, what I have felt - losing my only son.  The hurt, anger and guilt - is just huge and almost too much to bear - you blame yourself - even if there is no blame.

All of the official procedures that you have to go through...when you lose a child in tragic circumstances is brutal, there are some organisations out there to help you ... but you have to have enough energy to search for that help!

Well, what if you are just at an end? Too weak or too traumatised?

I was and I am... at an end... of my life as it was, before Josef left and at the beginning of a new existence without him now, which is not of my choosing.
